For the thirteenth consecutive year, the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) and the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) have awarded the District School Board of Escambia County their Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting and Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting, respectively, for its 2017 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report. 

The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of both the GFOA and ASBO programs.  These awards are the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting and represent a significant accomplishment by the School Board and its management.
