A LITTLE BACKGROUND ON MRS. JACKSON…
I was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. I love Pensacola and especially love the beach! I am married and have two sons. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, shopping, going to the beach and watching football. I always root for the Dolphins, but we are Patriot fans because my husband is from Boston!
I graduated from UWF with my Bachelor’s Degree in education in 1996 and a Master’s degree in Reading Education in 2013. I have always had a passion for reading and teaching students to read.
I am looking forward to all the learning that will take place this year and helping students choose books!

I moved to Pensacola from Texas, and I have lived here for 13 years. I love the beach and everything outside. I spend summers and weekends going to the beach, kayaking and exploring Pensacola and surrounding areas.
I have been a part of the Cook family for 6 years, first as a parent, then as staff in the office and now the library.
I love books!! It excites me to be a part of all our students' reading journeys.

Vision:
The Escambia County School District Innovation Center program seeks to promote a culture of literacy and learning to foster independent readers, self-directed learners, and responsible digital citizens.
MISSION:
The mission of the school Innovation Centers and school Innovation Specialists is to amplify the classroom experience. It is a place where students, teachers, administration, and staff can explore, learn, create and collaborate. Innovation Specialists also foster a love of reading and learning in addition to modeling current technologies to assist students in becoming proficient, successful, and ethical users of information.
The Escambia County Public Schools is in the process of moving each school’s classroom library from Beanstack Classroom Library to Destiny Classroom Library Manager. During this migration, books made available to students in the classroom may appear on either or both sites. Once the full migration is complete, all classroom library book titles will be searchable in Destiny Classroom Library Manager. We appreciate your patience as we work with our media specialists to get over 120,000 titles uploaded and into classroom libraries.
