    Your Training Progression

    1. Obtain a CDL permit from the DMV (we have study materials to help you prepare for the test).

    2. We will conduct a motor vehicle record check.

    3. Obtain an approved fingerprint/background check through ECPS.

    4. The dexterity (flex) test will be administered as the first phase of the physical examination process.  Once you complete the physical, you will hold a current Florida Department of Transportation Medical Examiner’s certificate granted by a ECPS-designated physician.

    5. Successfully complete a pre-employment drug test.

    6. Successfully complete our forty-hour school bus operator’s training course which will provide you the required valid Florida Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B (or higher) with Passenger (P) endorsement and a School Bus (S) endorsement.

    7. Once you complete your classroom training, you will begin your over-the-road training with one of our trainers.

    8. Once your training is complete, you will be given a state examination consisting of a pre-trip inspection evaluation, a skills test, and a road test.  You must successfully complete all three parts of the examination.

    9. Once you complete your training and testing, you'll go to the DMV to get your CDL license.

    10. You'll return to us with your license and we'll sign off on your certification.  Then, you'll be ready to start work!

Good luck, and let us know if we can assist you in your endeavors!
