• The Ransom Middle School Band program averages between 250-275 students and offers four levels of bands: Beginning Band, Advanced, Concert Band, and Symphonic Band. We also have a Jazz Band that is available to students who make up the Concert and Symphonic Bands. All bands meet daily during the school day. It is the goal of Mr. Rigdon and Mr. Kershaw to provide each student the fundamentals needed to be successful in music, problem solving, teamwork, and leadership. 

    The Ransom band travels regularly, including to festivals in Atlanta, Tampa, Panama City, and Orlando. We also make regular appearances at Disney World to give our students a musical experience like no other.

    You do not need any prior musical experience to join! Like our other wonderful music programs at Ransom, we will teach you everything you need to know.
