In order to maintain compliance with Section 504 (1973), the American's with Disabilities Act (ADA; 1990), and the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA, 2004), we provide students with multiple empirically based accommodations throughout their school day.  Examples of the practices we utilize include:

    • Wobble seats
    • Rocking chairs
    • Floor chairs
    • Standing Tables
    • Yoga Balls
    • Bean Bags
    • Whiteboard tables
    • Sled desks
    • Regular chairs
    • Bumpy-pads
    • Comfy floor seats
    • Slant boards
    • Visual Supports (e.g., visual schedules, visual cues, picture labels)
    • Colored and multisensory timers
    • Break spaces (both inside and outside of the classroom)
    • Motor room (fine motor and gross motor skill activities)
    • Noise-canceling headphones

If you have specific questions regarding an accommodation that is in your child's IEP or believe your child requires an accommodation, please reach out to Mrs. Jensen or Mrs. Guy to set up an IEP meeting.
