Controlled Open Enrollment
A parent/guardian from any school district in the state may enroll his or her child in our charter school if the school has not reached capacity.
Capacity
We strive to keep class sizes in grades K-3 at 18, and grades 4-5 at 22. If enrollment of a student puts that grade above the preferred class size, consideration will be taken as to education and standards not being impacted by class size.
Registration
Preferential treatment in the enrollment process will be given to:
-
Students residing in Byrneville, Century, McDavid, and Bratt.;
-
Students whose parent/guardian is an employee of the school and/or member of the Byrneville Board of Directors;
-
Dependent children of active duty military personnel whose move resulted from military orders;
-
Children who have been relocated due to a foster care placement; and
-
Children who move due to a court ordered change in custody due to separation or divorce, or the serious illness or death of a custodial parent.
