AGRICULTURAL BIOTECHNOLOGY ACADEMY
Agricultural Biotechnology Academy: The Agricultural Biotechnology Academy will train and prepare students for a broad range of agricultural, environmental, animal science, and horticulture careers. This four-year program includes subjects covering small animal science, care, production, reproduction and exhibition, horticulture, plant production, landscaping, environmental management, conservation, biotechnology, laboratory procedures, and aquaculture.
The curriculum for this program is designed to provide students with hands-on, real life experience by working in the lab, greenhouses, out in the field. and through supervised agricultural experience programs.
Additionally, students gain leadership development, career development, and scholarship opportunities through membership in the FFA. Upon completion in the program students will have the opportunity to take the Agritechnology Certification, Agriculture Associates Certification, Agribiotechnology Certification, and Certified Horticulture Professional Certification (through FNGLA).
Through membership and participation in the FFA, students also have the opportunity to graduate with the prestigious State FFA degree which is a complimentary addition to scholarship and college applications.
