Hope Horizon
School-Family Compact 2024-2025
Hope Horizon and the parents of students participating in activities, services, and programs funded by Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) agree that this compact outlines how the parents, the entire school staff, and the students will share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement and the means by which the school and parents will build and develop a partnership that will help children achieve the state’s high standards.
School Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive and effective learning environment that enables the participating children to meet the state’s student academic achievement standards as follows:

Small class size.

Grade level curriculum differentiated to each student.

Instructional Behavior Assistants in every classroom.

Hold parent-teacher conferences during which this compact will be discussed as it relates to the individual child’s achievement. Specifically, those conferences will be held:
-
During Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings.
-
If persistent problems are identified at Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) meetings.

At parent request.
-

Provide parents with frequent reports on their children’s progress. Specifically, the school will provide reports as follows:
-
Daily progress note.
-
Mid-term behavioral progress (four and a half weeks) of Positive Behavior Intervention Plan (PBIP) goals.

Nine week progress notes of PBIP goals, IEP goals, and report card.

Provide parents reasonable access to staff. Specifically, staff will be available for consultation with parents as follows:

Parent conferences within 24 hours of a request by the parent.

IEP meetings within 24 hours of a request by the parent and at least annually.

Annual Open House.

Annual Parent Night(s).

Provide parents opportunities to volunteer and participate in their child’s class, and to observe classroom activities as follows:

Parents may observe their child’s classroom after a 24 hour notice made to the Lead Administrator or Administrator on Special Assignment. All observations must be accompanied by an Administrator.

Parents may volunteer during special events at school.

Family Responsibilities:
● Monitor and encourage good attendance.
● Make sure that homework is completed.
● Sign and return daily point sheet.
● Monitor the amount of screen time children have each day.
● Participate in conferences relating to my child’s education and mental health.
