This program is established for the purpose of providing job-related training to students that require certification, in accordance with Chapter 943, Florida Statutes (F.S.) and Chapter 11B - 35, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.) as full-time or part-time Law Enforcement Officers.
The content includes, but is not limited to, knowledge of codes of ethics; laws, rules, and regulations of arrest; search and seizure; patrol procedures; traffic control and direction; law enforcement vehicle operations; investigation of traffic crashes; DUI enforcement techniques; crime scene investigation techniques; trial procedures and testimony; communications.

- School District Recognized Accredited High School Diploma or GED
- A physical training pre-test is required
- Criminal Justice Basic Abilities Test - CJBAT ($40)
- Fingerprint Card processed by FDLE and FBI ($55)
- Physical exam with EKG Results and Drug Screen (cost varies with each doctor)
- One (1) day orientation process

First Session: Noon – 4:00 PM
Meal Break: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Second Session: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Firearms classes take place on Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (for five weeks)
