Stream Premise

  • Great visual art allows us to explore what we have been, what we are now, and what we may become. Production of great visual art requires creativity, sensitivity, and long-term dedication to a chosen art form.

Simulation Descriptions

    • Study artists and their work in relation to historical, social, and political significance of the society in which they exist.

    • Explore answers to such questions as the following: What is great art? What role does art play in society? Do we need art? 

    • Explore your creativity in order to understand its role in the interpretation and production of art. 

    • Experiment with studio techniques to gain a better understanding and appreciation of the skills necessary to produce a great work of art.
