Instructional Application Process

Notice to ALL Applicants
All applicants offered a position of employment will be required to complete the tobacco-free agreement. Any applicant that has used tobacco products within six (6) months from the date of application will not be eligible for employment.Tobacco-Free Hiring Policy suspended from 7/1/22 - 1/1/25
Current District Instructional Personnel
You must complete the Online District Application via WinOcular. Current employees are not required to submit the following documents to complete the application process: references, transcripts, copies of certificates. Current employees are requested to submit a current resume to be considered for any position. You are able to upload a pdf version of your resume under Manage Documents.
All Other Applicants
Escambia County Public Schools requires that you submit all of the following documentation before you may be interviewed:
- Completed Online Application
- Official College/University Transcripts from all institutions attended emailed to hrgeneral@ecsdfl.us.
- Three professional references (Must be listed under References on the online application)
- Copies of any valid State teaching certificate(s) and/or Statements of Eligibility; if applicable
- Elementary Education Applicants must present documentation of a passing score on the Elementary Education Subject Area Examination. All other applicants should present documentation of any passing score reports.
- A current resume is preferred.
How to Apply for Specific Positions
Each time that you wish to apply for a specific vacancy, you will need to:
- Login to your application
- Click on Employment Preferences
- Click Continue
- Select Add Position
- Open the drop down menu (No Selection) and click on the specific job for which you wish to apply
- Click Continue to return to the previous screen to verify the job has been added. To apply for additional jobs, repeat steps 4-6.
- Click Agreement. If you agree with the terms type Yes, then click Continue
- Click Submit.
Employment Requirements
Upon employment, you will be required to:
- provide an original Driver's License and Social Security Card
- provide a copy of your DD-214 (if applicable)
- be fingerprinted and undergo a criminal history background check
- submit to pre-employment Drug and Nicotine screening
- make application for a Florida Educator's Certificate
- complete an Employment Eligibility Verification form (I-9) and provide documentation of your identity and authorization to work (if applicable)
